Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a Equivalent)
We are looking for a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a equivalent) who is passionate about improving outcomes for children, young people and families. This is an opportunity to work with children who have often experienced significant adversity, trauma and disruption in their early lives, supporting them through assessment, therapeutic intervention, consultation and training within a specialist, trauma-informed service.
Join a skilled and passionate team of Clinical Psychologists, Psychological Therapists and Assistant Psychologists, where you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children, young people and families. The role offers a varied mix of assessment, therapeutic intervention, consultation and training across adoption, fostering, kinship care, residential care and wider children’s services. You’ll also play an important role in shaping and developing our services as we continue to respond to the needs of the children and families we support.
Alongside direct clinical work, you’ll have opportunities to develop specialist interests, contribute to service development, and work across a range of therapeutic, consultative and assessment-based activities. We value the unique skills and interests each clinician brings and encourage colleagues to shape their role in ways that benefit both the people we support and their own professional development. You’ll join a collaborative team that is passionate about delivering high-quality, relationship-based support to children, young people and families.
Experience working with adoptive families, children in foster care, or those in residential care is highly desirable, as well as training or experience in trauma-informed therapies like DDP, Theraplay, or EMDR. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment while directly contributing to the well-being of vulnerable children and young people.
