DESCRIPTION:This intervention brings a small group* of parents together in person with an experienced and qualified Theraplay® Practitioner accredited by Theraplay® UK. The structured intervention focuses on improving and deepening the relationships between parents and their child/children. \nCohort details:\nThis Parenting with Theraplay cohort is planned to start in June 2025 \nSession dates: 02/06/2025\, 09/06/2025\, 16/06/2025\, 23/06/2025\n \nTimes: 10:30-14:30 \nCourse code: PWT006 \nCost: Please contact us for a quote. \nFunding deadline: 12/05/2025* \nMake a referral: Contact us \n* Please note that we require a confirmation that you have made the funding (e.g. ASF) application by this date. Please ensure we have fully approved funding\, including purchase order\, by the course start date. If you intend to self-fund\, we will require payment by this date to. \nWhat is Parenting with Theraplay?\nThis intervention is a cost-effective way of providing a parent-focused Theraplay® Intervention and has the added benefit of generating self-sustaining parent support. It is also ideal as a preparation for those families who may move onto engagement with a formal Theraplay® Intervention with their children. It is the only parent group intervention to be developed\, overseen and accredited by Theraplay® UK. The intervention is suitable for motivated adoptive parents\, Special Guardians\, foster carers and birth parents. \nHow to apply:\nIf you are a social worker and would like to refer a parent/carer on to our Parenting with Theraplay programme\, please contact our referrals team. \nIf you are an adoptive parent or special guardian\, your place might be funded through your Local Authority or Regional Adoption Agency. Please make contact with your social worker\, who will be able to advise further. We recommend doing this well in advance of the funding deadline\, as it can take some time to secure funding. Please feel free to ask your social worker to contact us for further information too. We will be happy to help. \nIf you intend to self-fund\, please make contact with referrals@gateway-psychology. Our training team will talk through the next steps and get you booked in. \nTerms and conditions\nSpaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. DESCRIPTION:  \nAdolescence\, Attachment and Building Connection (A-ABC) is a eight-session course that aims to explore attachment in teenagers\, including their brain development\, and how this applies to adolescents who have experienced early trauma. \nPlease note: This cohort of A-ABC is in our new 8-week format. Please pay particular attention to the session dates\, timings and the price increase to reflect the increased length of the programme.
