DESCRIPTION:LEAPlets is an 11-week manualised groupwork programme designed to nurture and support the development of attachment relationships and build children’s foundation sensorimotor systems. It’s a very ‘hands on’ group\, working with parents to understand their child’s foundation sensorimotor systems and how these have been impacted by developmental trauma. \nCohort details:\nThis LEAPlets cohort is planned to start in April 2024. \nSession dates: 30/04/2024\, 07/05/2024\, 14/05/2024\, 21/05/2024\, 04/06/2024\, 11/06/2024\, 18/06/2024\, 25/06/2024\, 02/07/2024\, 09/07/2024\, 16/07/2024 \nTimes:The group is run on Tuesdays around lunch time/early afternoon. If you intend to self-fund\, we will require payment by this date to. \nWhat is LEAPlets\nLEAPlets\, the BUSS® in Early Years group\, is an 11-week\, manualised groupwork programme designed to nurture and support the development of attachment relationships and build children’s foundation sensorimotor systems. The group is for children between 2 and 6 years of age and their parent or carer. \nWith a qualified BUSS group leader and trained support practitioners\, the group offers practical support and strategies to parents/carers and their children to build their foundation sensorimotor systems. \nThe group is for children aged between 2 and 6 years of age and their parents or carers. \nHow to apply:\nIf you are a social worker and would like to refer a parent/carer on to our LEAPlets programme\, please contact our referrals team. \nIf you are an adoptive parent or special guardian\, your place might be funded through your Local Authority or Regional Adoption Agency. Please make contact with your social worker\, who will be able to advise further. We recommend doing this well in advance of the funding deadline\, as it can take some time to secure funding. Please feel free to ask your social worker to contact us for further information too. We will be happy to help. \nIf you intend to self-fund\, please make contact with referrals@gateway-psychology. Our training team will talk through the next steps and get you booked in. \nTerms and conditions\nSpaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. You may contact us to reserve a place on our list\, but the funding agreement confirms the place. We cannot confirm a place without the funding agreement\, which must be received by the funding deadline. If we receive a funding agreement after the deadline\, we cannot guarantee that the participant will be able to attend the course. \nPlease note that spaces are charged per person and not per household. Unregistered participants will be asked to leave the course. If we do not receive all funding agreements by the deadline\, we may cancel the course. \nWe may also cancel the course if we do not receive enough applications by the deadline. We require a minimum number of participants for the course to go ahead. \nIf a participant chooses not to attend after the deadline has passed\, this is classed as a late-notice cancellation and we will charge for the full amount. \nAttendance is mandatory. If the majority of sessions are not attended\, we will be unable to issue a certificate at the end of the course. If a participant does not attend the sessions\, we will still need to charge for the full amount.
