About the role:

  • Job type: Part-Time – 3 or 4 days/week equivalent
  • Working pattern: 22.5 – 30.0 hours per week, typically from 9am-5pm from Monday to Friday. After-hours work will be required. Flexibility in this area is desirable.
  • Salary: £18-£22k FTE (pro-rata if part-time). Negotiable depending on experience.
  • Band: We do not band roles like this at Gateway Psychology

  • Reporting to: Training and Marketing Manager or delegate
  • Location: Gateway Psychology, 7-9 The Boulevard, Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, ST6 6BD. Some travel will be required depending on client and business requirements. Depending on COVID-19 restrictions, some home-working may be required.

Overall Role:

  • Assists with training administration activities for both face-to-face and online (e.g. webinars and eLearning courses) courses.
  • Administers training administration activities such as managing attendance lists; developing brochures and application forms; liaising with external organisations; liaising with attendees etc.
  • Assists with the development of training materials.
  • Maintains training records and develops reports from training activities.
  • Communicates with customers and delegates regarding training attendance as the primary point of contact and resolve queries and issues surrounding training activities.
  • Supports training activities, including online technical support to both delegates and presenters.
  • Assists with hosting training courses and other events.
  • Assists with general administrative tasks, e.g. financial data capture, filing, record checking and updating, clinical case opening.
  • Assists with the reception of clients and visitors.

Qualifications required: 

  • Minimum of A-Level or equivalent (A*- C in English and Maths and/or subjects that require good written skills, administration, or technical knowledge).
  • Further qualifications are desirable (such as a diploma, degree or professional qualifications such as CIPD).

Professional registrations required: Professional registration is not required; an enhanced DBS certificate will be needed (provided by Gateway Psychology).


  • Minimum of three years in a relevant environment with a training and/or administrative focus.
  • Child/young person/family experience desirable.
  • SME / small business experience desirable.
